The image of people standing together with their heads pointing up forms an ancient Chinese character meaning PEOPLE. Chinese Human Resource Management Association (CHRMA) is professional organization committed to promoting the development and management of human resource in Taiwan. We regard people as an invaluable asset.

Despite its brief formal history, CHRMA's professional reputation in Taiwan is longstanding. In 1982, while serving IBM-Taiwan as its personal manager, David Yao first assembled a group of local HR managers to organize a forum for human resource management and development. There were the first instances of such cooperation for HR community in Taiwan. To foster long-term development, the same group resolved in 1984 to establish an HR Management & Development Commission (HRMDC) under the aegis of the Management Association of ROC. An HR cooperation network began to take form.
