PMSM was established on May 13, 2000 at its first General Meeting as a merge of two HR organizations in Indonesia – the AMSM (HRM organization founded 1968) and APSDM (HRD organization founded 1983). As an HR professional association, PMSM goals are promoting HRM and HRD profession, competencies and professionalism of Indonesian people.
Presently, about 2000 PMSM members are administered by its National Board with seven regional and eight local chapters all over the country.
