Fiji Human Resources Institute

Fiji

Like other professional institutions in Fiji, the inception of the FHRI was not by chance, but rather a well thought out initiative by a group of HR professionals with a common thought to develop our nation’s most valuable asset, its people.

The vision of FHRI is to be a national leader in promoting Human Resources development in increasing the level of performance and productivity.

Every organization looks forward to having employees who are always working towards their professional development. FHRI provides trainings, workshops, Annual Convention and talanoa sessions for its members on emerging Human Resources issues and topics. These activities are organized for HR practitioners to deliver their service more efficiently.

FHRI’s major event is the BSP FHRI Annual National Convention. The Convention is proudly supported by the BSP Group. The Convention is usually for 2 days and aims to attract not only Human Resources Practitioners but Company CEO’s, Senior Managements and Managers/ staff of other departments. The speakers are selected very thoughtfully so that they can cover both local and international issues surrounding workplace and human resources. The convention also provides a great networking platform to the delegates.

The Convention attracts over one hundred HR Practitioners and Senior Executives around the Nation and this year, the number had increased to around 250 delegates. The theme for this year’s convention was “Our People: Today’s Talent, Tomorrow’s Success”. The 2017 convention had 14 dynamic speakers who shared their knowledge in trending HR issues in developing our people.

The Institute now plans for a bigger and better 2018 Convention.
